About

What are your main tasks?

It depends very much on the project and is quite diverse. In the end it pretty much comes down to gathering / finding all requirements and defining the best solution possible under the given circumstances.

What is your academical and professional background?

I played almost 10 years of professional Badminton for the national team of Germany, which has shaped my character and lets me benefit most from, in my work life today. Whilst and partly after that, I studied Information Systems and earned the bachelor’s degree. Before I joined dgroup, I worked 3 years for the Tchibo GmbH as part of team which is responsible for operating and further developing the software of the web shop.

What made you decide to work for dgroup?

The opportunity to work on exciting projects in the field of digital transformation and learn from my colleagues as well as the Accenture network.

What really motivates you?

Fully understand complex problems and finding solutions that take all requirements and people into account.

Early bird or night owl?

Definitely night owl.

Digital native or immigrant?

Something in between ;)

Which digital product or service would you liked to have created?

I don’t really have the one digital product or service that I would like to have created. There are just too many fascinating ones out there. If I had to choose, it would definitely be one that involves AI or self-learning algorithms though.

Three books / blogs / podcasts you want to recommend?

Etailment.de is quite good to stay up to date in E-Commerce. For news on Startups / Apps and Gadgets I like techcrunch.com

Which three things would you take to a lonesome island?

As a practical kind of guy, I would take some tools with me to build a house or a boat to take me off the island ;).

Where have you lived?

Hamburg, Syracuse (US), Saarbrücken

What do you think about whilst traveling?

I would say the least possible.

What have you learned at dgroup?

Too much to put it all in here, but assembling teams with the goal to maximize the sum of needed talent and then getting the most out of it, by allocating tasks by talent, rather then according to career level is a very important lesson.

What was your best team / client situation?

Any team that I have worked with has been fun, so I can’t really name any particular one. A highlight has surely been our dgroup winter event in 2018.
